Old man Yu Gong’s house had two big mountains in front of caused him great one day he said to his family:I have decided to move those mountains. His wife said:This is ’ve lived with them a long ’s just put up with it.
But the old man convinced his children to help him.
The next day they started digging using hoes and baskets,and they hauled the dirt to the sea,far far in and day out they kept digging.
A wise old man,Zhi Sou,upon seeing this said to Yu Gong:You are old; you are trying to do the impossible. Yu Gong replied:Yes,I am old and I will soon be dead,but I have children,and when they die,their children will carry on,and the mountain will get smaller and smaller.”
And so Yu Gong and his family carried on,day after day,year after year,through summer and winter,until one day,God heard about it and was so moved by his determination that he sent his two sons to take the two mountains away.
The moral of the story is that with determination anything can be achieved.

愚公老人的房子前面有两座大山。这给他带来了极大的不便。所以有一天他对他的家人说:“我决定移走那些山。”他的妻子说:“这不可能。我们和他们住在一起很久了。就让我们忍着吧。”
但是老人说服了他的孩子们来帮助他。
第二天，他们开始用锄头和篮子挖土，把土拖到很远的海边。他们日复一日地挖着。
智者智叟见此，对愚公说:“你老了;你在尝试做不可能的事。”愚公回答说:“是的，我老了，我很快就要死了，但我有孩子，当他们死了，他们的孩子会继续，山会变得越来越小。”
愚公和他的家人就这样日复一日，年复一年，熬过了夏天和冬天，直到有一天，上帝听说了这件事，被他的决心所感动，他派他的两个儿子去把两座山带走。
这个故事的寓意是，只要有决心，任何事情都能实现。
